Noxious Weeds Cost Share Form

Yuma County Pest Control District will cost share with landowners, with land in Yuma County, on the

purchase of herbicide, biological, and equipment for the use in controlling of noxious weeds listed by Yuma

County and the State of Colorado.

  1. The cost share program is for use on the following weeds: Jointed Goat Grass, Field Bindweed, Musk Thistle, Canada Thistle, Silverleaf Poverty Weed, Woolyleaf Poverty Weed, Leafy Spurge, Russian Knapweed, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Hoary Crest, Dalmatian Toadflax, Russian-olive, Salt Cedar, and all “A” List Species determined by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.
  2. Herbicides may be purchased in or out of the county, but to receive the cost share it needs to be purchased from other retails businesses not from Yuma County Pest Control.
  3. Biological controls must be pre- approved by YCPCD Supervisor.
  4. Yuma County Pest Control District will pay up to $300 a year per landowner on the purchase of herbicide and biological control.
  5. Yuma County Pest Control District will pay up to $150 a year per landowner on the purchase of spray equipment.
  6. Yuma County Pest Control District reserves the right to ascertain and/or inspect areas treated with cost share chemicals or equipment.
  7. Yuma County Pest Control District reserves the right, based on its sole discretion, to determine those eligible for reimbursement.
  8. Owner/Operator must include a copy of the invoice of the purchase with the cost share application.
